For the launch of our new blog series “Four questions for ...”, we spoke to Frank Pokropp, Managing Director of Freihoff Sicherheitsservice. As the largest owner-managed security service provider in Germany, Freihoff offers protection and security to a wide range of customers – from single-family homes to industrial groups. We wanted to know why the company has relied on Dallmeier technology for over ten years and which Dallmeier products and solutions are used in their projects.
Mr Pokropp, your company designs, builds and manages security technologies for a wide range of customers. Could you give us a brief introduction?
Freihoff Sicherheitsservice is the largest owner-managed security company in Germany. With over 300 employees, we look after a wide range of customers – from private homes to the largest logistics or chemical manufacturing companies. Our customers expect optimum protection for their assets and their employees. That’s why the criterion for maximum efficiency is not the lowest price of components, but the highest possible security through the combined quality of product, solution and service.
You have been using Dallmeier technology for your customers for more than ten years. What prompted you to collaborate with Dallmeier?
Firstly, we and our customers are convinced by the high quality and reliability of Dallmeier products. For the end customer, these characteristics result in optimum objective security performance and a long service life of the systems. For us as installers, this in turn means a high level of customer satisfaction, low maintenance costs and excellent service – and therefore a very good profit situation in the long term. In other words, a good deal for everyone. The “Made in Germany” seal of quality is also becoming increasingly important for our customers. This is because – in addition to the quality already mentioned – cybersecurity aspects play an increasingly important role, especially for our CRITIS customers. As an installer, we also value our proximity to the manufacturer, which is an advantage not to be underestimated, especially for more complex projects.
“With Dallmeier systems you notice that the components and installation options are very well thought out and that the developers have a practical background. ”
Frank Pokropp, Managing Director, Freihoff Sicherheitsservice GmbH
Which Dallmeier products and solutions do you use in your projects and why?
In our projects we use the entire Dallmeier solution portfolio, from cameras to recording and video management software. Three things are particularly important to us: the added value of the Panomera® multifocal sensor cameras for securing large areas and long distances, the openness of the systems for video management and PSIM systems from other manufacturers and the cybersecurity features of Dallmeier products. Another important component is the advanced video analytics and AI technologies. This is an important factor for cost optimisation, especially when it comes to reducing false alarms in perimeter security.
Companies specializing in installations are increasingly suffering from staff shortages. In this context, the configuration and installation of the systems takes on particular importance from the installer’s point of view. What is the situation with Dallmeier solutions?
With Dallmeier systems you notice that the components and installation options are very well thought out and that the developers have a practical background. The universal Mountera® mounting system, for example, saves us a lot of time and money and is almost child’s play to install. Even the configuration of the systems themselves is now possible quickly and with little training, thanks to features such as auto-calibration for the supposedly complicated Panomera® systems or the “Remote Positioning Dome” for the Domera® cameras. These are factors that should not be underestimated, especially when it comes to quality assurance and overall costs. In the end, customers and installers alike benefit from an efficient process chain from planning, installation and configuration to maintenance and operation.
